About Geoff
The Honorable Geoffrey W. Dlin (Ret.) is a partner at Laffey Bucci D’Andrea Reich & Ryan and leads the firm’s Workers’ Compensation practice. He brings decades of experience in Workers’ Compensation, personal injury and employment law, including 15 years of service as a Pennsylvania Workers’ Compensation Judge.
During his time on the bench, Geoff decided thousands of contested Workers’ Compensation cases and regularly taught attorneys, judges and private organizations about Workers’ Compensation law. He also developed a highly regarded statewide mediation practice, helping attorneys and litigants resolve complex disputes.
Before becoming a Judge, Geoff represented injured workers and individuals harmed by negligence and dangerous products. He also represented employers and insurance companies in Workers’ Compensation and personal injury matters. This varied experience gives him a comprehensive understanding of how claims are evaluated, defended and resolved.
At Laffey Bucci D’Andrea Reich & Ryan, Geoff represents injured workers while collaborating with the firm’s personal injury attorneys when a workplace accident may also give rise to a third-party claim. This coordinated approach allows clients to have experienced attorneys working together to protect every aspect of their case.
Geoff was among the first group of attorneys certified as specialists in Workers’ Compensation law by the Pennsylvania Bar Association’s Workers’ Compensation Law Section, as authorized by the Pennsylvania Supreme Court. He has taught numerous Workers’ Compensation programs for the Pennsylvania Bar Institute and other legal organizations.
He earned his bachelor’s degree from Vanderbilt University and his law degree from The Dickinson School of Law.
